Computer Lab

New Classroom for SENDAS

An 18-person work and witness team from the Church of the Nazarene in Richland Center, Wisconsin, worked on the seminary campus from March 16-26, 2009.  The team continued in the construction of a new computer lab for the students of the Seminary and the community. This work began in the last year when a team from Parkview Church of the Nazarene in Dayton, Ohio began the project.
The Project consisted in building the new computer lab to be used by the seminary in a new program of continuing education for the community, which will begin with classes in Basic Computer skills and English as a Second Language.

The team worked on different projects including constructing the walls, putting in electricity, floors, drop ceiling, lights, doors and windows as well as painting.   They knocked down existing beams to enlarge the class space.

In addition, the team painted the interior wall of two housing units and worked in four communities in San Jose and Heredia presenting a VBS program and donating more than 350 packets of school supplies to the children.

This project, as well as others, will continue throughout the year.  If you would like to assist with the work at the Seminary of the Americas, please contact Eliezel Soto at esoto@nazmac.org or Shelley Webb at swebb@nazmac.org
