SEMINARY DINING HALL:

The Seminary regularly hosts groups of 400 people and the current dining hall only allows for 200 people to be seated at a time. This construction project would double the size of the hall and allow the facility to be used for larger groups. The rental of the facilities is an important income generator for the Seminary.

Cost per team: $10,000

COMPUTING / ESL FACILITIES:

Open to the surrounding community’s needs, the Seminary has launched short career programs in Computing and English as Second Language.  SENDAS, with the assistance of Work and Witness teams, has built classrooms but lack the funds to divide the rooms, add more computers, and provide classroom furniture to make this dream a reality. The contact hours with the local students will not only teach needed skills, but also serve as a compassionate evangelistic tool.

Total cost per team:                         $ 10,000

GYMNASIUM RESTROOM PROJECT:

They gymnasium is used by both Nazarene groups and by groups who rent the facilities. This income allows the Seminary to provide theological education to pastors and leaders in the Nazarene churches. The gymnasium does not have its own restroom facilities. The completion of this project will make the space attractive for large groups and will in turn bring in more revenue for theological education.

Total cost per team: $10,000

CLASSROOM EXPANSION:

The Nazarene Seminary of the Americas began the Nazarene Academy in 2011.  Under this new program, the Seminary is teaching ESL and Computer courses to students from the surrounding community.  The goal is to expand the program to include high school graduation prep classes as well.   These same classrooms are also used for theological training.  There is a need to expand these classrooms so more students can receive training.

 Classroom Expansion Project   $22,600

NORTH WALL PROJECT:

A protective wall is needed on the north side of the campus.  The wall will be more than 200 meters and will include both retaining wall and pre-made protective wall.  The purpose of the wall is to provide protection to the property.

North Wall Project  $33,000

PLUMBING PROJECT FOR CAMPUS BUILDINGS:

This project places new pipes from the various campus buildings and homes to connect to the Costa Rican water supply.  This project is integral to the function of the Seminary and also will assist in protecting the environment.

Plumbing Project for Campus Building $ 22,000
