José Guillermo Girón and Karla Córdova de Girón
Rev. Jose Girón is from Guatemala. He serves as a professor of the ETED program, the Licensing and Bachillerato classes in the areas of Pastoral Ministry, Bible, and Misiology. He is the coordinator of the ETED and Bachelor extension programs in the MAC South Region.
Profesor Girón has a Bachillerato degree in Theology from here at SENDAS. He actually finished his master’s degree in Misiology en the UNELA campus along with SENDAS. His undergraduate degree is a Bachellor’s of Science with classes such as ‘Strategies for the Economic Development of Latin America’ and “Enriching the Relationship between the University and the Family.’
His pastoral ministry began in San Jose, Costa Rica as an ‘adjunct’ pastor of the Church in Salitrillo. After that we was the pastor at a new church plant called “El Alto de Carmen’” Tres Rios de Cartago and was the youth pastor en “El Bosque” de Dos Rios. He was ordained in the church of the Nazarene in 1992. His ministry then led him to Guatemala where he served as a youth pastor and the District Coordinator for New Churches and Missions and later as pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene In Coban.
Rev. Karla Girón is also a native Guatemalan. At SENDAS she is a professor of ETED and Bachillerato courses including Pastoral Ministry, Bible and Theology. She also serves as the library administrator.
She received her degree in Theology from SENDAS, and her accounting schooling from the School of Commercial Sciences in Coban, Guatemala. She is specialized in Education: Pedagogy and Administration, Pastoral Administration, Leadership, Child Evangelism, Christian Discipleship Counseling and Marital and Family Counseling.
Profesor Karla Girón was the associate pastor at the First Church of the Nazarene in Coban, Guatemala, in the area of Women’s and Children’s ministries. She strongly promoted Maternity and Infant health care in the urban and rural communities en Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. She was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene in 2006.
