In 1997, the Assembly of the Nazarene Seminary of the Americas Association made the decision to return to the Seminary designation.
The Master Sciences in Religion Program with emphasis in the Mission of the Church "without borders" by extension has made it possible for the institution to have more students than before. The program started with two study centers and 30 students, and today we have 13 study centers operating in 11 countries and about 200 students all over Latin America.
The undergraduate programs such as Diploma in Theology, Bachelor in Ministry, and Bachelor in Theology have developed greatly. In the countries of Nicaragua, Panama and Costa Rica there are about 754 students enrolled, in 72 study centers where 381 courses are taught each year.

In 2000, SENDAS signed an agreement with the Evangelical University of the Americas (UNELA). The degrees for the residencial programs are accredited by the Costa Rican government through the National Council of Graduate Private Education (CONESUP). This recognition allows the students to continue further studies in any university and country.
