Student Spotlight - Esther Quezada
1 de octubre de 2009
Gloria Esther Quezada Castillo (Esther) arrived to San Jose, Costa Rica in Augus t of 2009 to attend the Nazarene Seminary of the Americas to complete a Master degree in Theology and to serve as a volunteer missionary with Scott and Emily Armstrong in the World Mission Offices for the MAC Region. Esther is originally from Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico and in the two years since she dedicated her career to the Lord, her life has been quite an adventure.
In 2007, Esther completed her university degree in History and a few weeks later she attended a Christian camp where she dedicated her career to the Lord. She was considering a master program and through an Internet search, she learned of the Nazarene Seminary in Costa Rica. Although she had never heard of the Seminary before, God used this moment to plant a seed in her mind.
A year after dedicating her future career to the Lord, Esther attended COM (Missions Orientation Camp) where God put on her heart to serve with Youth in Mission on the MAC Region for two months. Through her travels with Youth in Mission in 2008, Esther had the opportunity to attend the EJUMAC Youth event that to her surprise was located on the Seminary campus in San Jose, Costa Rica.
One year after serving with Youth in Mission, the Lord continues to lead Esther. She is now serving as a volunteer missionary in the MAC Regional Office in Costa Rica as she takes courses towards her master degree in Theology.
Esther has followed the Lord’s leading and He has taken her on an amazing adventure. For Esther, the adventure has just begun and as she continues to pray, her excitement grows to see where the adventure will lead her next.
